Most job sites either don't score you against a listing at all, or show a number with no explanation. Beaquaro's match score is a real, transparent calculation — and the same breakdown shown on a job's own page is what actually decided the number.
Skills, weighted by how sure you are
Every skill a job asks for is fuzzy-matched against your profile. Skills you've marked as a real strength count in full; ones you're only 'willing to learn' count for less — this is the biggest factor in the score.
Missing a must-have caps the score, hard
If you've flagged a skill as non-negotiable and a job needs it but you don't have it, the match is capped at 15% — no amount of other overlap pushes it back up. The job still shows up, it just can't outrank a real fit.
Your resume and career goals count too
Beyond the fixed skill list, Beaquaro compares a job's own description text against your resume summary, career goals, and work history — a smaller signal that nudges the score without deciding it outright.
Location and relocation, factored in honestly
Remote roles and jobs in your target country score at full strength. An out-of-country, non-remote role is only lightly discounted if you've said you're open to relocating — and discounted hard if you've said you're not.

Can I see why a specific job scored the way it did?
Yes — every job's detail page has a 'Why this score' section with the actual matched/missing skills and the location reasoning for that job.
Does the match score use AI-invented data?
No — it's computed only from your real stored skills and profile text against the job's real listed requirements. Nothing is fabricated to make a score look better.
